Quality Time • Acts 9

And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized. So when he had received food, he was strengthened. Then Saul spent some days with the disciples at Damascus.

Acts 9:17-19

Jesus healed and strengthened Saul (Paul) trough the obedience of Ananias. Jesus didn’t really need Ananias, for we know Jesus is all-powerful and we see in the previous verses how Jesus struck Paul with blindness and spoke to him audibly on the road to Damascus. God desires for His power to be manifested through our love for one another. By using Ananias’ obedience to go to Paul, lay hands on him, pray for him, baptize him, and enjoy a meal together, God not only brought joy and encouragement to Paul, but to Ananias as well.

Let’s make every effort to spend quality time with one another, having God as the focus of our fellowship. Maybe we can be an Ananias to someone God wants to lift up for His glory.
